Johannesburg, South AfricaOn Saturday, 38 Talent proudly launched the first edition of its Simunye Music Experience with a powerful celebration of Amapiano - one of South Africa’s most defining genres. The Simunye Music Series Amapiano was hosted at a vibrant venue in the heart of Sandton, Johannesburg and the evening brought together artists, fans, and trendsetters for a night that captured the energy, elegance, and emotion of Amapiano.
Headliners Russell Zuma and Sir Trill delivered standout sets, performing fan favourites like "Angikaze", "Ngiyabonga", "John Wick", and "Xola", with a live-band edge that brought new depth to the genre’s signature sound. Joined by a lineup of emerging stars, established artists, and top DJs, which included Lolli Native, DJ Fae Fae, Okashii, and El Smoke, the night unfolded as a vibrant showcase of the talent driving Amapiano forward.

The event featured immersive visuals, a curated guest experience, and a bold cocktail bar powered by Monkey Shoulder, the official whisky partner for the series. As the first chapter in the broader Simunye Music Experience, this Amapiano edition set the tone for what’s to come: an electrifying, genre-mixing experience that showcases South African music and its trailblazers front and center.
